Green fodder at the price of straw — delivered to your door

“আগে গরুকে খড় খাওয়াতাম আর খানিক খোল ভুষি চোকর , তাও বেশি দুধ দিতনা, মাসে হিসাব করে দেখতাম যত টাকার দুধ বিক্রি করছি, তার চেয়ে খোড়াকি খরচ বেশি পড়ে যাচ্ছে। তারপর এই আমাদের পাশের গ্রামে এই প্রকৃতি গোল্ড কোম্পানি থেকে দাদারা এলো গ্রামে ওদের বিজ্ঞাপনের গাড়ি নিয়ে, আমি ভাবলাম এইটো আবার কি বটে, যাই হোক, ওদের কথা শুনে মাস খানেক খাওয়ালাম ওই সুপার নাপিয়ের সাইলেজ, খড়ের মতই দাম পড়ছিল, তো ঠিকই লাগল, গরুগুলোও ভালো খাচ্ছে দেখলাম, দুধ টাও বেশ খানিকটুকু বাড়ল, এখন তো এই সাইলেজটা ছয় মাসের ওপরে খাওয়াচ্ছি, হিসেব করে দেখলাম দানাও কম দিতে হচ্ছে, দুধের মান আর পরিমাণও বেড়েছে ।”

English translation

“Earlier I fed my cows straw with a little oil-cake and bran, and still they didn't give much milk. When I did the sums each month, the feed was costing more than the milk I was selling. Then the Prakriti Gold team came to the village next to ours with their publicity van. I wondered what this was all about. Anyway, after listening to them I fed Super Napier silage for about a month. It cost about the same as straw, so it made sense. The cows were eating it well, and the milk went up quite a bit. Now I've been feeding this silage for more than six months. By my reckoning I also have to give less concentrate, and both the quality and the quantity of milk have gone up.”

“हमलोग प्रकृतिर आभा फ़ार्म पे विजिट करने गए थे JSLPS के साथ, वहा जाके हमने देखा वो संस्था से बंगाल का ग्रामीण परिवारों के साथ मिलके अपनी उपरी ज़मीनो पे सुपर नेपियर घास का खेती कर रहा है और उससे उनसब परिबारों को भी अच्छी खासी कमाई हो रहा है। वोहा से लौटके हमने भी अपना FPC से ये घास की खेती करने की बारे में सोचा और हम अपना FPC के माध्यम से ५ एकड़ ज़मीन पर ये नेपियर घास लगाये, प्रकृतिर आभा से हमलोग सुपर नेपियर घास का कटिंग लेके आए खेती करने के लिए और प्रकृतिर आभा संस्था के साथ एग्रीमेंट भी कर रहे है ताकि हमलोग भी कमाई कर पाये ।”

English translation

“We visited the Prakritir Abha farm along with JSLPS. There we saw that the organisation is working with rural families in Bengal to grow Super Napier grass on their upland, and those families are earning a good income from it. After coming back, we too thought about growing this grass through our FPC, and through our FPC we have planted this Napier grass on 5 acres of land. We brought Super Napier cuttings from Prakritir Abha for planting, and we are also entering into an agreement with Prakritir Abha so that we too can earn.”

“আমি অনেক জায়গা থেকে ভার্মিকম্পস্ট কিনে আমার ছাদ বাগানে ব্যবহার করেছি, কিন্তু এই প্রকৃতি গোল্ড সুপার কম্পোস্ট যেদিন থেকে ব্যবহার করছি, এর রেজাল্ট দেখে আমি তো অবাক, আমার যেই গাছে ফুল ফুটছিলনা, এই সুপার কম্পোস্ট ব্যবহার করার পরে সেই গাছেও প্রথম ফুল ফুটলো। এই সুপার কম্পোস্ট এর মধ্যে যে ব্যাকটেরিয়া কালচার গুলি আছে তার মাধ্যমেই এই সার এত ভালো কাজ করতে পারে।”

English translation

“I have bought vermicompost from many places and used it in my terrace garden, but since I started using this Prakriti Gold Super Compost I have been amazed by the results. A plant of mine that wasn't flowering bloomed for the first time after I used this Super Compost. It is the bacterial cultures in this Super Compost that make this fertiliser work so well.”

“আমি তো ভুসি খোল চকর কিনে গরুদের খাওয়াতাম, কোম্পানির খাবার খাওয়াতামনা , কে জানে কি সব মিসায় ওরা। কিন্তু গ্রামের এই প্রকৃতির আভা কোম্পানি টায় গিয়ে দেখলাম এরা একেবারে চোখের সামনে খাবার বানিয়ে দিচ্ছে, ব্যাস আর চাই কি, এদের কাছে গিয়েই এখন নিজের পছন্দ মতো খাবার বানিয়ে নিই আমি, এদের খাবারে, ভুট্টা, খোল, মুগ চুন্নি, ভুসি, চোকর সব আছে, তারপর আবার এরা ওই মিনারেল মিক্সচার টাও মিশিয়ে দেয়, আমাদের এদিকে মিনারেল মিক্সচার পাওয়াও যায়না, আমার তো খুব উপকার হয়েছে এই কোম্পানিটা এখানে খোলার জন্য। প্রকৃতি গোল্ড দানা মিশ্রণ গরুছাগলের জন্য এক্কেবারে উপযুক্ত খাবার ।”

English translation

“I used to buy husk, oil-cake and wheat bran and feed them to my cows. I never fed company feed – who knows what they mix into it. But when I went to this Prakritir Abha company in our village, I saw that they make the feed right in front of your eyes – what more could I want? Now I go to them and get the feed made just the way I like it. Their feed has maize, oil-cake, moong chunni, husk and wheat bran, and on top of that they mix in mineral mixture too – mineral mixture isn't even available around here. This company opening here has helped me a lot. Prakriti Gold feed mix is just the right feed for cows and goats.”

“আমরা এই প্রকৃতির আভার ব্যাপারে আমাদের ব্লক এর ভেটেনারি ডাক্তারের থেকে শুনেছিলাম, শুনে খুব ইন্টারেষ্টিং লাগলো তাই আমরা ওদের ফার্ম ভিজিট করার জন্য এক্সপোজার ভিজিটের প্ল্যান বানাই, সেখানে আমরা এক রাত দুই দিন ছিলাম। এখানে যে সার্কুলার ইকোনোমির মডেল আমরা দেখলাম, তা অনবদ্য, গ্রামে প্রান্তিক চাষিদের সাথে চাষ হচ্ছে, সেটা চাষী ডাইরেক্ট ফার্মে বিক্রি করছে, তা থেকে সাইলেজ বানিয়ে ডেইরি ফার্ম আর গরু ছাগল খামারি দের সাপ্লাই হচ্ছে, সেখান থেকে আবার গোবর আর ছাগল লাদারী কিনে নিয়ে এই ফার্ম কম্পোস্ট বানাচ্ছে, আর সবকিছু একেবারে চোখের সামনে।”

English translation

“We heard about Prakritir Abha from the veterinary doctor of our block. It sounded very interesting, so we planned an exposure visit to their farm and stayed there for one night and two days. The circular-economy model we saw here is outstanding: cultivation is done together with marginal farmers in the village, the farmers sell directly to the farm, silage is made from it and supplied to dairy farms and cattle and goat rearers, and from them the farm buys back cow dung and goat droppings to make compost — and everything happens right before your eyes.”

“আমি একটু খালি সময় পেলেই প্রকৃতির আভা ফার্মে চলে যাই, কি মনোরম প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশ, আর প্রকৃতির মাঝে সবাই মিলে কাজ করছে, কেউ চাষের কাজ করছে, কেউ জমির জন্য ভার্মি সার বানাচ্ছে, কেউ পশুর খাবার বানাচ্ছে, সবাই আনন্দ করে কাজ করছে, বড় ভালো লাগে, টেন্ট নিয়ে থাকি ওখানে, রাতে নিরিবিলিতে প্রকৃতিকে উপভোগ করা যায়, শহুরে আওয়াজের কোলাহল নেই, আলোর ঝলকানি নাই, একদম বিশুদ্ধ প্রকৃতি, সপ্তাহের শেষে একটি রাত কাটিয়ে আসলেই আবার পুনরুজ্জীবন পাওয়া যায়।”

English translation

“Whenever I get a little free time, I go to the Prakritir Abha farm. Such a lovely natural setting — and everyone working together amid nature: some doing farm work, some making vermicompost for the fields, some making animal feed, everyone working happily. It feels so good. I stay there in a tent; at night you can enjoy nature in peace and quiet — no city noise, no glare of lights, just pure nature. Spending one night there at the end of the week leaves me completely refreshed.”
